How my journey began

Hello and welcome!!

I’m Lisa Angello and I would like to share a piece of my life story with you and how I ended up in the place of finally finding my true self and learning how to love who I am. It only took 55 years! Truthfully, what you see is what you get with me at this point. I tend to approach life with a lot of humor, creativity, curiosity, empathy and compassion. I am a Mom, a writer, an artist, a poet, a coach and a person who is in love with living.

My message is that no matter where you are in life, finding self-love and really living your life in a passionate way that serves YOU is possible no matter when or where you start and sometimes laughing and loving a little on the way doesn’t hurt either.

My life story has been complicated and rewarding at the same time. Complicated in that I have suffered through narcissistic abuse, failed relationships and many major medical issues which have been complicated by the lack of familial medical history as I was adopted at 6 weeks old. Absolutely rewarding in having the ability to overcome all of these obstacles with a lot of help and perseverance; and I feel so blessed to be here to help others who are experiencing or who have experienced similar situations in their lives. My upbringing led me to believe that in some way I was broken, flawed and not deserving of a life that I dreamed of. Finding the courage to fight back, knowing that there is resilience within me, facing my fears head on and now getting to live the life of my dreams has led me to coaching. My calling to help others is greatly influenced by learning that I’m a valued, loved and empathetic woman who is not broken and has so much to give back. I am here to help you find the courage and grit that is tucked away inside of you too!

How am I qualified to be your coach? My education and experiences provide a great background for coaching. I have a BA in Psychology, a minor in Sociology, an MSW in Clinical Social Work, certificates in Coaching, Expressive Arts Therapy, KORU mindfulness training; and work experience in addictions, pediatric abuse, health social work (stroke), animal assisted therapies research, mental health in-patient care and human resources (employee relations). I’m also a bookish woman who enjoys a lot of reading and studying daily on topics of people, music, art, women, poetry, theology and psychology. Just try calling your gal pals and letting them know what you’ve discovered about the links between Buddhism and Christianity or what your tarot birth chart reading might say – crickets…Reminds me of when I would tell my mother all of the wonderful plans I had and she would continue what she was doing with, “that’s nice dear”. Point being, I’m an eclectic person who finds excitement in many areas of life and living.

Why the Rockin’ Life Coach? I had lost my day job and for 2 years prior had been working at a music venue part time as a contractor selling merchandise for the artists coming through to perform and play. Music has always been the biggest love of my life. Music is in my soul; it brings me so much joy that I feel like my heart will burst sometimes. Listening to live music is such a gift; to hear what artists do and how they pass their love of their work, art and passion on to audiences. When the opportunity came along to work as a contractor for artists, I grabbed it and have never let go. To this day I still work shows whenever the opportunity presents itself. So, when I lost my day job and I spoke to artists about coaching I was greeted with a very positive reception. It was time to make a very scary leap to fully working for myself and I began coaching artists on accountability, health, wellness and mindfulness while touring. Unfortunately, during the pandemic I lost a lot of my musician clients due to their lack of work and lack of touring, and I turned my focus to women in my age range and circumstance. I still have music coaching clients and continue working in music, so the name is here to stay. Working with people and watching them rock their potential is so incredibly amazing and I find myself to be so blessed in what I do. I have so much gratitude for being invited into people’s personal journeys and getting to coach, guide and teach during the experience.
